We are seeking a temporary, part-time Payroll and Finance Assistant to help our team through July 15 managing payroll through Paylocity and all bank reconciliations.
The Payroll Assistant will be responsible for assisting with payroll management and ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payments.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for employees using our payroll software (Paylocity) - Verify and reconcile employee timecards, ensuring accuracy of hours worked - Calculate and process deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments - Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees - Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters - Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure accurate employee data and resolve any discrepancies - Maintain accurate records of payroll transactions and update employee files accordingly - Perform bank reconciliations
Experience:
- Previous experience in payroll administration or related field - Strong knowledge of payroll processes and procedures - Familiarity with debits, credits, and basic corporate accounting principles - Proficient in data entry and attention to detail - Experience with payroll software (Paylocity) is preferred - Experience with QuickBooks online is required.
Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Strong analytical skills to analyze data and identify discrepancies - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees and resolve inquiries This is a part-time, temporary position based at our office location.
