Duties will include both front and back office work, including scheduling appointments, billing, surgical scheduling, insurance verification, and optical sales.
Back office duties will include all patient pre-testing including visual fields, fundus photography, IOL Master, and OCT.
Hours are regular with no weekend or late office hours (Our normal business hours are Monday to Thursday 8:
30AM to 5:
30PM and Friday 8:
30AM to 3PM).
Experience is preferred, but we will train the right individual if you are tech savvy and patient friendly.
This is a people oriented practice and we depend on high quality employees to treat every patient with respect and professionalism.
Salary will be dependent on experience and credentials.
We are only looking for applicants in the local area in and around Antioch (Antioch, Pittsburg, Oakley, Brentwood, etc.
).
The position will be for 24-28 hours per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday as well as two Friday mornings a month.
Hours may increase if staffing needs change in the future.

Please note we are only looking for candidates with prior Ophthalmology or Optometry experience or those who have graduated from a Medical Assisting program.
We will train candidates with no experience in Ophthalmology to become proficient in our field.
New graduates of a Medical Assisting program are also encouraged to apply.
