In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position.
The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Role
Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide family support and case management services for kinship families.
Develops, coordinates and supervises family service plans, assesses and identifies family needs and connects family to available kinship resources.
Essential Functions:
Interview and establish rapport with families.
Orients and educates parents to the program.
Plan and attend social events for families Conducts assessment to identify family needs.
Develops appropriate family service plans.
Makes appropriate referrals to community resources.
Provides emotional support to families.
Assists family in locating funding for services if possible.
Maintains records of all services provided and documents all assessments, meetings, decisions and reports.
Facilitates support groups.
Provides training on program related areas.
Help families with paperwork to obtain guardianship.
Support families while going through the court process of guardianship.
Attend court hearings with families.
May transport clients as needed.
Act as a liaison with other community agencies.
Recruit families for the program.
Establish and maintain contact with community service providers.
Work effectively within the agency and social work community at large.
Collaborates to integrate the values of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) into all aspects of the organization.
Promote the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process by identifying quality indicators and opportunities for departmental and organizational process improvement.
Report any incidents/accidents according to incident reporting procedures and protocols, within designated timelines as outlined in the reporting procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent client information.
Perform other duties as may become necessary or as directed.
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or 18 units of Psychology, Sociology and/or Communication and a minimum of two years of experience in a case management position or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Knowledge of crisis intervention and the unique needs of kinship care.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
